Most folks these days have a zigzag career path and I’m no exception—mine has included stops in Charlotte, NC (my hometown), Atlanta, GA and Memphis, TN. I currently mentor incubated companies at the Spark Innovation Center at the UT Research Park in Knoxville, TN. I previously worked in debt capital markets, commercial and private banking, and not-for-profit consulting. Both my for-profit and not-for-profit experiences shape the guidance I provide start-up companies as they work to build their businesses and reach investor readiness. I have lived in Tennessee for 23 years. I currently serve on the board of directors for Porter-Leath, Inc., the Wolf River Conservancy, the Thomas W. Briggs Foundation (all Memphis-based); the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center and the Knoxville Chamber Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council. You’ll find me wearing blue for the Memphis Grizzlies and orange for the Tennessee Vols!
