Bo Wilkes

Managing Director & President, Ballad Health Innovation Center & Ballad Ventures

Bo Wilkes is the president of Ballad Ventures, a wholly-owned venture capital subsidiary for Ballad Health. In addition, Wilkes also serves as the managing director of the Ballad Health Innovation Center, the innovation hub for Ballad Health.

Wilkes’ responsibilities focus on providing thought and operational leadership to drive new growth opportunities, create a culture of innovation, and grow innovation and venture capacity within Ballad Health. During his tenure, Wilkes has developed the innovation and venture strategy for Ballad Health.

Before his role as president of Ballad Ventures, Wilkes served as Chief of Staff for the Executive Chair and CEO. Wilkes has served in various roles within Ballad Health and the legacy organization, including roles in hospital operation and strategic planning.

Wilkes holds a bachelor of science degree from Clemson University and a master’s in public health from East Tennessee State University. He is married with two children.
